Movements are the video recorded tasks completed by the DARI Motion subject in the capture space.
For Example: A bodyweight squat or vertical jump.
One or more movements are added to a list which makes a protocol. A protocol is the desired list of movements for the subject to perform during one capture session. Once a session is completed using a protocol, certain reports are outputted based on the protocol used.
The list of DARI Motion movements that can be performed is located in the 'Protocols' page. This list is constantly growing.
(*this example has been simplified for training purposes)
This is why it is very important to perform the correct movement selected and to perform the movement as instructed.
The current list of movements and their instructions and instructional videos can be found here or by clicking on one of the movements in the movement list above. Or on your DARI Motion system on the 'Protocols' page. The instructions are also displayed in the capture software during a capture session.
The DARI Motion instructions are meant to simply communicate the task to the subject and instruct them to perform that task to the best of their ability.
The instructions do not tell the subject HOW to perform the task other than occasional restrictions on certain movements. The reason these instructions do not coach to, for example, keep good knee alignment on a single leg squat or do not deviate the arms forward on shoulder abduction, is to see HOW that subject is able to complete the movement.
If the DARI Motion instructions do not specify a particular movement pattern or technique, then the user may apply their own additional instructions to a reasonable extent.
